What is Reiki?

Reiki is a holistic healing practice that uses energy to promote balance and wellbeing in the body. It is originated in Japan and works by channeling life force energy through the practitioner’s hands to the client. The japanese word 'Rei' means 'Universe' and 'Ki' means 'Life', also known as 'Prana' from Hinduism or 'Chi' or 'Qi' from Chinese. So 'Rei-Ki' means 'Universal Life Force Energy'. 

 

During a Reiki session, the client will experience a deep sense of relaxation, as the practitioner works to move blocked energy and restore balance. Reiki can help reduce stress, anxiety, pain and depression, improve sleep, boost the immune system and promote natural healing. It can be used to promote healing on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level. Reiki is a safe, gentle, non-invasive healing technique that can be used in conjunction with traditional medical treatments.
